Why we started

Retail photos can make a small cage look roomy

Many product listings show a cage from its best angle, with a bright background and a happy animal. That can make it hard for a new owner to tell how much usable floor space there really is. We look at the inside dimensions, the bar spacing, the base depth, and how easily the setup can be cleaned. Then we explain what each feature means for the pet who will live in it.

Our goal is simple: help you choose gear that fits your pet's needs and your home, even if you have never owned a pet before.

How we work

Honest recommendations come with honest limits

Some of our links earn a commission. We say so plainly, and we do not accept payment for praise. When a product is not a good fit for a pet, we say that too.
